Cradle Workstand Adapter

Cradle Workstand Adapter: $65 |
PLEASE NOTE: The Cradle is not endorsed by Bacchetta and they do not recommend clamping the CA2 in a workstand. That being said however, there is no substitute for securely supporting your bicycle in a workstand while performing maintenance. When I got my CA2, I began working on an adapter to support it in my workstand, without risking damage to the carbon frame. The result is the Cradle. It consists of two rubber-lined plastic clamps attached to a steel bar that mounts in the workstand. The clamps are machined to precisely fit the frame and they bottom out when fully closed to protect the frame from over torquing.
I have used various prototypes and the final production design of the Cradle for several months now with very good results. While I don't have the data or technical basis to contradict the manufacturer's instructions, I feel the Cradle offers good support for mostGENERAL LIGHT MAINTENANCE without risk of damaging the frame. I am making the Cradle available to those who feel comfortable with the concept and are willing to accept responsibility for its use. I provide no warranty of suitability, but will, at my option, replace any Cradle which fails due to worksmanship.
Each Cradle comes with a label indicating that it should not be used for high load maintenance activities. It is intended for tune-ups, wheel changes, and general cleaning and maintenance. Activities such as installing / removing pedals, torquing bottom brackets, and the like SHOULD NOT be performed with the CA2 in the Cradle or you put your bike at risk. If you choose to use the Cradle, please adhere to these precautions. The CA2 is one BEAUTIFUL bike and I don't want anyone risking damage to it. Don
